Well, here I am. Why have I started a knitting blog? For a couple of reasons. Most of the people around me would probably rather I was able to converse for more than half an hour without mentioning yarn or needles so this will be an outlet that won't make my loved ones crazy. My other objective is the hope of making some new friends. I'm fairly introverted and it's been difficult for me to meet new people here in Florida. Knitting may seem like an odd hobby to take up in the land of sunshine and citrus but I know I'm not the only one here. I just need to find a local yarn shop that isn't an hour or more away!
I've been knitting since June 2006 and to date I've completed 4 of Wendy Johnson's Kittiy Pi pet beds. My wip's include a pair of these http://www.knitty.com/issuesummer06/PATTtuliptoes.html , and a hat made without a pattern. Planned projects are a scarf and a pair of thrummed mittens to match the hat. Oh, and I can't forget the squares for the Grandmother Purl blanket.
Pictures will be along as soon as I figure out how this whole thing works . . . Toto, I don't think we're in msn space anymore.

Robyn!! I am so happy to see that you have joined us in the knit-blogging. I started mine for pretty much the same reason: to have "someone" to talk to about knitting whose eyes don't glaze over 15 seconds into my blabbering!!

Thanks for joining us for the knitting of the blanket for Laurie's grandmother. I know it is going to be a huge success!
